I have my new catalogue, 2024 Scotts US Specialized Cat, my 1st since 1985.
I see that Palau, Micronesia & Marshall Is. are now no longer included in the catalogue. Disappointing!
But one thing that gets me is the inclusions and omissions.

Current US possessions like Hawaii include the kingdom & republic, but not the local railroad, & the US Virgin Is ie Danish West Indies are included while precancels are the only issues released there during US control.
On the other hand, Guam & Northern Mariana's are part of the US but exclude the Mariana Is issues. The same with Puerto Rico an US territory does not include the colony period under Spain.

Scott does not seem to follow a rule here!

What do you think?

If it is for removed content, Scott has been reducing page count presumably to keep cost / price down. Sections have been spun off (identifier, values) as well as reducing image size.

Maybe a Vol 2 with Revenues should be considered.

I am with you, Mike. If they are going to fully list Hawaii why not other countries. Scott could change to smaller stamp images and smaller text to reduce page size.

re: 2024 Scotts US Specialized Cat

I just received this week a copy of the “pocket” version Scott U.S. catalogue. It was to replace my 2017 version of the same. The 2017 is far superior and I will use it as my primary reference! The images are larger and sharper than in the new one and the identification tips are much better. Oh well.

I also went from the 2017 Scott catalogs to the 2022 and was amazed to see how they have not updated some countries in years !
