Saint Cloud Area Stamp Club
Information about the club:This Central Minnesota club gathers twice monthly for business meetings and club socialization. The club conducts quarterly auctions. The club participates in the APS circuit book system.

Rumor indicates that a stamp club existed in the 1950's and 1960's, meeting at the Breen Hotel, now known as Germain Towers.

The modern club formed in January 1986, at the direction of Jason Wurst, who was undertaking a 4-H entrepreneur project. Details of that first meeting are available at the Stearns History Museum. Also in 1986, Jason established the Central Minnesota Philatelic Society. The latter of the two clubs disbanded in 2002. Both clubs published newsletters, though the last issue was distributed in 2002.

The first modern stamp show was held in 1987, at Radio City Music Mall in Downtown Saint Cloud. Though the club currently sponsors a show, a.k.a. GRANIPEX, other stamp shows have existed, with sponsorship by local clubs.

See the website for more details.
