It's a good forgery, if that's the case; but I'm noting that the cancel didn't really take to the black ink on the "original" inscriptions either. Also, the "8" in the postmark looks like it's over the surface of the strikeout. Fingers are crossed for you...
With the damage on the left side of the stamp, it's worth only a fraction of the catalog value anyway. But, still a tough stamp to find.

Once again, I have a dilemma with an overprint. It turns a $2.25 stamp into a $450 stamp. It looks to me like the cancel is under the overprint but it is very hard to tell since they are both black and the cancel is kind of light. It also has perf issues on the left side. Please see the images below. I would like your opinion.
