Yes. Someone almost always does.
I agree, some of the material people seem to have amazes me ! Someday...someday

Or, sadly some daughter or grand son, charged with chore of cleaning out the old homestead after a funeral will consign "All that old junk" to a burn barrel.
Phil, I see an awfully lot of that kind of material from France. I'm not sure why this is.
Proofs, essays, forgeries, sheets, booklets, advertising labels and specialty collections of most all early issues, France seems to have much more than any other country.
Or possibly French collectors are a bit crazier than the rest.
Maybe the old French collectors have closed their albums, and the result is a flood of French material hitting the market. This what is happening to the USA market. All those cheapo definitives from the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s were collected by the sheetload. That is also why so many dealers have been selling so much discount postage.

The last gasp of discount postage. Once we get to a point where forever stamps have matured, what would become discount stock will still be valid postage.
I was over a fellows house who specializes in France and he began taking out stuff,,he said the only chance i have to look at this is when someone comes over ! All of a sudden i am looking at things like full sheets of artists proofs of the "sowers"stamps in the various test colors. I know we all live on different financial levels ..but i wonder" How does someone come about this stuff ?" Oh well perhaps i will put together a plastic stock card or two of used sowers...thats my speed !
