Found this rather nice Hong Kong high value on eBay. Catalogued at $1,084, this is described as MINT HINGED:

What do you make of the writing on the back? Is that an expert signature on the bottom right? Just curious.

I did wonder myself. Or perhaps a dealers mark that someone has tried to erase.

Well this has just sold for $213.50. Personally, I would have preferred a no gum example with clean back. Once the foxing (rust) penetrates the front, it's curtains.

Well, actually, once a liberal quantity of LePage is applied to the back and it is affixed to the page, it won't matter that much.
