Hi Bruce,
I have a couple of these (2 and 3 cent). I think they are not #807c but rather trimmed down #807a booklet stamp. Many of these booklet panes were not perfed well and produced wide margins; often including the plate numbers.
The true #807b, 807c, and 807d (imperfs) can only be certified as a pair.
I used to think they were counterfeits until I found the 3-4 of the 2c (which as far as I know were not counterfeited).

Anglophile: Thank you for your diligent topic research (and possibly augmented by your Herculean recall of an event 6 years ago) that unearths my previous question on the same topic and without undue sarcasm exposes the frailty of my memory and apparently the pratfalls of advancing age that caused this repetitive post.
I am humbled.
51Studebaker: Seems plausible. Thanks!

Hello,
This appears to be a genuine cover. I welcome comments about the 3c imperforate Jefferson. I believe Scott USA Specialized mentions its existence. The rate appears correct for the destination.
What do you think?
