There is always people posting outrageously dumb ads on Craigslist and other sales forums. They seem to fall into the categories of "completely clueless" or "cockeyed optimists". I'll give you a recent example; feel free to add more.

(Please remove any identifying information.

This seller is offering what appears to be a 1932 George Washington 3c violet (Scott 720). (Appears to be, because about 1/4 of the stamp is missing). In MNH XF condition it retails for around US$0.30

You just need to go to most any yard sale and see tables of damaged and broken junk for sale as it had value and they will continue to try to sell it hoping one day someone will want it.
