Here are two very rare £2 very thin paper Coats-of-Arm, the stamp with a roller flaw is worth far more than the stamp without the roller flaw. The invoice (true value) amounts to AU$4,650 for both. The stamp without the roller flaw is valued at $1,600 and with the roller flaw $2,950.

I have added the 5/- as it is part of the very thin paper varieties. There is only one other denomination with a paper thickness of 0.085mm and that is the £1, there is no 10/- made on very thin paper.

Thanks Wine, I'm still hunting for the £1 variety, those that I had located are all mint lightly hinged, I'm after the MUH, so far no luck. I have been told by a specialist of 40 years that he has never seen one in MUH, but then he also said he had never seen a £2 very thin paper with roller flaw either, I was lucky to buy it off him.

Hi Horamakhet

The dealers I buy from are international experts in Australian KGVI pre-decimals and Elizabeth II pre-decimal and decimal varieties.

The two high value stamps above are a great asset to my KGVI collection as it makes the Coat-of-Arms stamps unique.

The cost of buying these two can give one's bank account a cardiac arrest, the two 1950 £2 very thin papers cost me in total $4,600

I know of a local dealer I have met a few times that has very little knowledge on rare Australian stamps, yet he has been in the business for nearly forty years.

I have bought a few more rare stamps and will have them included in future presentations.

Hi Rob
I met a dealer the other day, and he seems to specialize in the colours of the KGV Australian stamps.
He says there in more interest these days in the colour variations than the varieties.
Interesting comment I thought.

Hi Horamakhet

The dealer is correct in one part as to the popularity of the colours of KGV, but it can also be a waste of time and money if one is trying to build a collection that may one day be a nice little nest egg for the owner or to the person it is bequeathed to.

Also it is a very difficult collection to obtain when it comes to colours, one may have a KGV stamp in yellow and it may cost the collector $25, and then there will be another of the same face value and the yellow may be a little lighter and it could be worth $2,000.

But again, if the collector just wants a basic collection of colour, then there is an abundance of colour in the old KGV heads.

Below is the old KGV heads that I have, the set is very scarce, all are MUH. I also have some rare KGV shade varieties.

There is only one set of KGVI stamps that has multiple colour shades though nowhere near his father's stamp colours and that is the Coat-of-Arms.

Hi Rob

Fantastic collection, something I can gloat over.

I see that the new ACSC guide for Geo V pennys etc is now been released in colour, and also I will need to buy the colour version of the Kangaroos.
(I have not even looked at what I have in those.

Hi Horamakhet

I quiet like the Arms collection, this little set cost me nearly $6,000, and there are more to collect, some worth thousands of dollars each (the very thin paper with roller flaw was nearly $3000), but it will be nice to add more to the set when possible.

The colour ACSC for KGV cost $160 (and the kangaroos $120), I'll have to get them. The cover shows four proofs, I have the top two, there are at least 6.

Hi Rob

The arms collection is impressive.

I would love to have a collection like that, but any that I have are used.

I can't even find a decent copy of the two pound, and totally forget the roller flaw, but who knows what turns up in opp shops

It took a few years to collect them. The very thin paper with roller flaw is unique, I will be submitting a photo as well as the certificate to the ACSC for it to be included as well as the other thin paper £2 as they are thinner than the thin paper catalogued.

Both are very rare.

I finally received the package of ½d roos, the package weighed nearly 5kg, and is full of complete sheets etc, with many very scarce varieties, the books (six A3 books) make up most of the weight, but there are so many stamps it will take me quite awhile looking through them.

I'll be uploading many of the varieties that can be scanned, won't be able to scan the full double sheets as they may tear.
