Here is an item I picked up a couple years ago and find it quite fascinating It is a 300F souvenir sheet from Togo depicting Abraham Lincoln using the Photo Mosaic process.
Close to 2,000 photos from the Civil War were used to create the portrait. I can't find the SS in Scott's so I don't know the issue date or Scott number. I can only think it was issued after 1994 as that is the year the printing process
used to print it was patented.
Due to the restrictions on the board as to size it will probably not show up well in this posting.
Go to the following URL and enlarge by pressing ctrl + to see better detail.

Also try ctrl - to minimize this page to show the portrait to fit the page

re: Interesting Lincoln Souvenir Sheet

Mitch,

The Scott number is either 1890 or 1939-1940;

--July 20, 1999 issue is perf 13-1/2 (#1890);

--Sept. 5, 2000 issue is perf 13-3/4 and is listed as a set of 2(#1939-40);

catalog values are as follows -

1999 issue - $7.50 mint or used;

2000 issue - $12.00 mint or used

(catalog values from Scott cat. year 2010)

Randy, Thanks much. I see that I misread the date on the bottom of the sheet which had me looking for it at a much later date. It is Scott No.1890

Very cool souvenir sheet. I've often wondered how this type of mosaic is created as they are quite fascinating.

There's some interesting info about this stamp in a Linns article from 2001 (Stamp no.5):
