Hi to all

Today I had Medical appointments to attend, so while out I checked the local opp shop.

I found two old stamp albums, which as well as having lots of world stamps, there were too envelopes stuffed full of Australian Decimal stamps.

Now the stamp on the extreme right has no yellow.

IS this the one mentioned by Gibbons 444b?

The two one the left definitely have yellow colouring, The one on the extreme right has more yellow, than the centre one,and the left hand one. were there variations in the colour

Regards

re: CHRISTMAS 1969

The difference in yellow may have been caused by chemical exposure, being stored in an incorrect container, such may be the case with it being in a packet. The stamp mentioned in the SG is void of colour and shows only a white background where the yellow used to be.

But there can be differences in the shades.

I saw one with the missing yellow once (a few years ago) but it was sold before I could get to it, never saw another since.

Hi Rob

Thanks for that, I half suspected, that might be the case.
