David Stanley's travel guide, 8th edition (2004), states that the Ozama Twomey was still operating. Googling continues!

Had a quick look through the catalogue for Solomon Islands but could not find a stamp with this vessel, maybe it was on a NZ or other islands stamps.
Seem to recall there is a list of ships on stamps published somewhere, perhaps that will help.
If not then a request to NZ archives may get an answer.
You could write to this address to see if they have pictures or further details.

This Japanese site has mention of the ship but you will need to run it through a translator!

Thanks all - now have enough info to write up what I wanted. Thanks again.
Does anyone have information relating to the MV.Ozama Twomey which was gifted to the Methodist Mission and operated in Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea. I'm told she was a 55ft.boat, but that's about all I have - would like to know where she was built, is she still going, photo's etc etc.
See below cover from PNG taken on board the Ozama out from Sohano Papua New Guinea.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
