Ken Lawrence wrote three articles for Linn's that gives a fantastic and very thorough study about the postal history of South Arabia. He does an excellent job tying the philatelic history of the region and the civil war that started in the 1960s, and wasn't truly completed until 1990 (although some will say that it never ended as evidenced by today's fighting). Lawrence also discusses the validity of many issues to support his claim that many of these stamps should be listed in Scott and Gibbons, among many other things.
I have mentioned this before, but I dug through my back issues of Linns since this is the second inquiry about this in the past week.
Check out these (monthly issues) of Linn's and you'll get what I consider to be one of the best philatelic articles I have ever read.

I would like to have information about the stamps of Qu’aiti State in Hadhramaut. I have looked at the listing in Stampworld.com, where they list 219 stamps from 1942-1968. Scott lists the first issues under Quaiti State of Shihr and Mukalla, ending with the 1953 Coronation Issue. Then, only 24 more are listed under Qu’aiti State in Hadhramaut in 2 sets of 12 each, dated 1955 and 1963.
I have a 1967 issue, 20F denomination issued for Stampex in London, 1967. What is the history of stamps from Hadhramaut? Why no Scott listings after 1963? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
