Joint Line Pair - a pair exhibiting part of the joint line;
the line that results in the stamp gutters because of the ink collecting at and printing from the juncture of two plates curved to form a cylinder.
Guide Line Pair - a pair exhibiting part of the guide line;
guide line - or mark - is the term used generically to indicate any line, dot, cross, circle or other symbol serving as a guide during the process of printing (or perforating) the stamps or cutting the sheets. In connection with stamps of the USA, "Guide Lines" is used to designate vertical or horizontal lines, in the color of the stamps, that extend wholly or partly across the sheet and often terminate with arrows.

Ok I have a question
Can someone more knowledgeable than I please explain to me the difference between these coiled stamps ?
How do you distinguish a joint line pair of stamps from a Guide line pair of stamps ? Thanks
Cheryl
