Hi Franz
They actually look like thin paper, but we must not forget that in those days there was a thick paper with a strong transparency. If they are the elusive thin paper, and I am beginning to lean that way, then you struck gold, they aren't super expensive, but they are very scarce and as they are MUH (my cup of tea), are definitely not cheap, and as they are blocks of 4 positional stamps, they could be even more than what one would expect to pay for 4 single thin paper bulls..
I've been looking for one for 30 years and you may have come across 8 of them.
The positional Hereford Bull came in sheets of 120. 12 horizontal rows of 10.
Bottom left hand corner position with "By Authority" imprint.
Plate position 11/101 and 11/102.
Plate position 12/111 and 12/112.
Top right hand corner position
Plate position 1/9 and 1/10.
Plate position 2/19 and 2/20.

Hi Rob
Here's hoping, it is amazing what may be out there still waiting to be found.
Actually I like the puzzled look on the bull's face.
Once again, thank you for the valuable positional information, it adds to the story.

Hi to all
Have I finally found an elusive thin paper Hereford Bull
First measurement in micrometer 0.093mm,
Factor difference 0.003mm

Actual thickness 0.091mm

Hi Horamakhet
The stamp is slightly translucent, the gauge is too thick to be thin paper, thin paper is between 0.070mm and 0.075mm. Thick paper is between 0.083mm and 0.091mm. Only the Coat-of-Arms 5/-, £1 and £2 has thin paper gauged at 0.085mm (strange but true).

Hi to all,
With the collection of block that I bought, there were two blocks OF four
I have measured them with a paper gauge and my resultant figures are 0.074 and 0.071 for each.
Possibly it is me, and not the gauge.
Here are scans of both, back and front, the one without the imprint is thinner.
