I used it at one time, as I recall it is not a complete album, it's abridged and does not include some issues but these are ones you probably will not be getting anyway. I bought an immaculate Gibbons New Imperial album and moved the Australian and other British into that.
The Seven Seas albums are very nice, one thing is they have an odd page size, almost a standard US page size but a few mm wider. For some reasons, the publisher does not provide for postage dues.
I use Seven Seas Hingeless Albums. I don't collect Australian States but I do collect
Australia pre-decimal, my main collection, and Australia decimal to about 1999. I also have Australia Antarctic hingeless and Australia Frama hingeless.
I have, and have used many albums in my 60 years of collecting and I love the Seven Seas
layout, everything about it, the way the stamps go in it, the way it lays flat and you can work on your collection without pages folding back over, to me just a great album.
The only setback I have is getting replacement pages. I have never found a distributor
for Seven Seas in the US, and it is getting very expensive to have them sent from Australia.
If you would like to get rid of the Australian Colonies Hingeless album let me know we may work out something. I don't collect Colonies but have some in a stock book. Who knows, maybe the start of another collection. Just what I need
The only setback I find is that the Seven Seas album is only good for a simplified collection.
Hi All
When I purchased an Australian Collection last year it was in a German Leuchtturm or Lighthouse Album
Even though it is a little more detailed, listed dark colours, light colours, thin papers, thick papers, and shades and dies, it also is not comprehensive enough.
It would probably be very expensive for any company to produce a comprehensive album, due to the number of rarities and missing colours etc.
However with the Lighthouse apparently you can buy blank pages and expertise the album to you own design.
Other than that, I would think the best solution is to buy a very good loose left stamp able, and blank pages and set it up to your own liking.
Correct me if I am wrong Rob, but I think that is what Rob has done with his amazing collection, (jealous, jealous).
At present most of my collection is in hawid mounts in commercially produced albums, except those where I purchased collections that were in the Lighthouse or Seven Seas Albums.

That's the way I house my stamps, I use a good loose leaf album, blank pages and I set up the collection the way I like them; all pre-decimal stamps and all pre-decimal and decimal navigators are housed in hingeless mounts and then placed in the album (double safety). If one wants to collect a simplified set then the Seven Seas album is perfect for such a collection.

Appreciate your responses. I was able to look at some sample pages and see what you mean about comprehensive. The SG catalog has significantly more issues not shown in Seven Seas and Scott seems to have maybe 50% more listings. Looks like SSeas may use its own catalog for stamp numbering. So perhaps modified Steiner pages may work out fine for my purposes. Thanks for your input.

Wondering if any SOR members have used this Seven Seas album and if it has proven valuable. Looks like a nice way to organize the early states, but seems a bit expensive. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.
