The one on the right is listed in Scott under Yugoslavia (more specifically, Slovenia) as number 3L21 (or 3L32). They describe the image (and another released at the same time) as "Allegories of Freedom".
The one on the right looks like another Yugoslavia stamp, a newspaper stamp issued in Slovenia. Design is described by Scott as "Eros". Maybe 3LP4, or 3LP9 or 3LP13.
Thank you.. I'm leary of the older label type stamps as they look like they would be easy to fake..
These were in the WW hoard I received recently. As most ppl know I only know U.S. stuff so I'm learning alot mostly European history
Anyway I came across these two items. I believe the one on the left is a newspaper stamp from Slovania. I believe the one on the right is from yugoslavia. They could be from the same place. IDK. I try to research these the best I can as I'm actually getting into it. (insert smart remark here.). I was wondering why they used the gruesome imagery. They kind of look creepy to me lol. If anyone knows what the imagery represents I would like to know that. Lol
I could use more history lessons on early 20th century Europe so please chime in. thanks
