Hi Pooh
Haven't seen any posted to date.
I haven't either makes you wonder just how many used stamps there is from either year
It's actually a very scarce stamp and they are not easy to locate.
Rob
I've handled literally thousands of these stamps, and have found many "man with tail", "man with tail retouched", "pantaloon" flaws etc. But I've never found a koala up the tree.
Maybe it's a drop-bear, the first recorded image of this mythical creature? haha!
Meet the Dropbear!
Since my last post, I've checked another 1500 used copies, still no bears!
Fascinating. I think stamp one has the error in the crotch of the flintlock bearing soldier (or not) as to the koala I am sure there are no koala's up either tree. Can't see a tail either but enjoy looking and reading. You all have such knowledge. Love the billy boiling with steam but no fire beneath!
Hi I09T09N46
Both your sesquicentennial 2d stamps are from the regular issue, neither have the varieties mentioned
Here are all 3 varieties in MUH. And in the positional block of 20 it shows the position of all 3. All 3 varieties are rare.
Thank you Rob1956 they are beautiful. How you find these anomalies makes me stand back in awe. Failing sight is the curse of years. Thank you so much for the beautiful scans. Best wishes. N
It has taken me just over 45 years to collect what I have, sometimes collecting what I once thought impossible.
I agree that failing sight is a curse, as I too have failing eyesight. The very large image compensates such eyesight and it also helps others to properly identify these varieties.
Hi Rob
I have one word
Jealous
Lovely stamps,
HOramakhet
Hi Horamakhet
What you find would make any-one jealous, a couple of times I turned green with envy.
Rob
