I found this souvenir sheet in a lot I purchased. It is Scott# 424a issued on September 10, 1975. I noticed that this sheet is postmarked on August 10, 1975 which is a month before the issue date. I'm not sure if it is used or a CTO.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this August postmark? Thanks in advance.Image Not Found

re: Papua New Guinea

It is Oct. 8, 1975 --- British style date (dd-mm-yyyy), not US style (mm-dd-yyyy)

Except most Brits would say 8th October 1975. We put the day before the month.
At least we did when I went to school!
