No but you can sometimes guess. Does the strip have a Maltese cross cancellation or 1844 ones. Anything particular about the Letters; unusually high, low left or right , any re-entries...that sort of thing can help considerably towards plating. Otherwise you would have to get some plating books and they tend to be expensive.
