Reading the American Philatelist (Dec 2021 edition) this morning my eye was caught by a letter to the Editor regarding "Pitcairn Island Collectibles". In his letter Steve from Visalia, CA was talking about the people on Pitcairn Island producing some very unique, very high quality honey. Steve's letter caused me to investigate further and it turns out the rich and intense fruitiness of Pitcairn's honey is attributed to the nectar from the Mango, Lata, Passion Flower, Guava and Roseapple flowers found in abundance on Pitcairn.

So, seeing that the honey from Pitcairn Island looks very interesting and given the fact that the honey will be shipped from Pitcairn Island thereby obtaining some high value, postally used Pitcairn Island stamps, I submitted an order this morning for a couple of jars of Pitcairn Island honey.

I know, I'm nuts. Big Grin

For anyone who is interested http://www.pitcairn.pn/shop/

Regards ... Tim.

I subscribe to the Pitcairn newsletter. It is mailed to me once a quarter from the island. The do use Pitcairn stamps. Expect at least 6 months to receive what you order, because delays seem to be occurring in New Zealand where the mail from Pitcairn is processed.
