mm.........No Zeppelin stamps here, but I have two Concorde stamps -
French Polynesia's first Concorde stamp (1969). Back then, I was stationed
in Saigon & everything was chaotic. My bro mailed me two Concorde stamps that
I begged him for months. Got surprised it reached me because I thought it got
lost in corrupt Viet post office! The design of Concorde stamp ain't fancy
or anything, just a basic design with low denomination. I thought it's was just
another average stamp, nothing spectacular.
I added the two Concorde stamps in my tiny photo album. Stirring at the Concorde
stamps while listening Tom Jones on radio on that hot summer day was memorable.
So many commercials about Hawaii Five-O on that radio channel was insane.
Damn, I often fantasied flying Concorde jet taking me to paradise where nobody can
find me. Suddenly, hearing gun shots & explosions brought me back to cold reality.
Anyway, hope my boring writing get posted. Have a good one, ya'll. Break a leg!

Beautiful stamp!
If that had been me, I would have asked my "bro" to stick the stamp on the outside of the envelope instead of putting it inside the envelope!

Mitireva,
the French Concorde stamp you showed is so KINETIC. I get the sense of it flying over me. Thanks for sharing that stamp and your entry with us.

Last evening, I searched "Concorde 1969" in the Stamps category. Over 500 hits.
I didn't realize that the beautiful Concorde stamp shown above was issued by several French nations. The range of colors is striking!
This is almost enough to motivate me to do a Planes on Stamps topical collection!
-Paul
I thought the same thing and started, but there is no end to the number of planes on stamps! It's like WW collecting to me - overwhelming!
