On my trip from Melbourne to Queensland I found this lovely ratty, tatty, piece of modern postal history. Posted Brisbane 19 June 1962, and wonderfully addressed to:
F Noland Esq
17 Miles from Wondai
QUEENSLAND
Received at Wondai 21 June 1962, and then bounced around the district, visiting Tingoora, Proston and Mondure, with more trips to Wondai.
I have no idea if they ever found him (despite a heroic effort from the Post Office!), but the 1933 Qld Directory shows an F. Noland, Farmer, at Murgon.
