I received a very large and heavy package from Fed Ex. The problem was that it came to the right house number, but wrong street. I called Fed Ex and finally got through to a person who sounded like they were in a call center in India. I wanted them to send someone to pick it up and deliver it to the correct address. I read them the tracking number on the shipping label, but they said that was not in their system and they couldn't do anything about it. Finally, I walked to the adressee's house to tell him so he could drive over and pick it up.
I hate Fed-Ex. Delivery to someone across town, the neighbour and no-knock deliveries!
What's wrong with Fed-Ex that they give this lousy service?
DHL is just as bad, recently they were unable to deliver two separate passports, despite giving them a physical address and a 'phone number. They ended up posting them by Canada post to my mailbox.
Harvey, well really everyone, please also be aware that there is a very active phishing scam going on claiming Fed Ex is giving a final call to contact them and arrange for delivery. I receive such calls several times a week, half the time in Chinese. They are seeking personal financial and address information to exploit. If you are not expecting anything via Fed Ex and receive such a call, caveat emptor!
Thanks for that, because I really don't think I have anything coming from Fed-Ex!! Might be just a scam call but it's so damn hard to get a person at Fed-Ex that it's real hard to find out. The call I got said they'd tried to make delivery twice but there was no one there to sign. It was a recorded message and sounded a bit off! I'll let you know if I can find out anything.
I am in International UPS hell right now!
At work my boss ordered something from Poland.
It became 6 large boxes via UPS.
It got to the US and is sitting in a warehouse while they put us through customs doc hell.
For anyone tracking a package, this is a neat site.

Please, if you are sending me material, don't use Fed-ex. I have had nothing but trouble getting material delivered to me using this "service". The don't want to knock and when you phone to complain you get an automated voice service that never seems to work. It seems to be impossible to get through to an actual person. I have a parcel out there in limbo now that I can't seem to get a hold of. I have no idea what it is but I don't think it involves SOR - at least I hope not!! Moral of the story, please STAY AWAY FROM FED-EX. Also if you're sending across the Canada border please don't use UPS since the brokerage fee they charge is often more than the worth of the object. Please just use the mail service, it works fine almost every time. Telling you to avoid certain companies is not something I want to do (maybe you're a stock holder!!) but it needs to be done in this case!!
