I just got a notice from HipStamp called "complete your early stamp collection". Holy Crap!!! I usually check out stuff like this if I have time. We complain on this site sometimes if stuff is listed at more than $100 that no one will buy the stuff!! I saw stuff there well over $1000, as was said at Tut's tomb, "wonderful things"! I wish I could afford to buy some of the items. I have just spent about $10 000 over the last six months or so on the BC collection, but are there many people out there who can drop $10 000 on a single stamp? Check this out - https://www.hipstamp.com/listing/usa-11x ...
The stamp world is full of amazing items. If only we had the money to pick up a few! I know some of you are thinking things like "with so many people starving why would anyone spend that much money on a small piece of paper?". Valid point, but...

I had a quick look at it and read the small print:-

"tiniest sealed tear at upper right difficult to locate"

Its only a spacefiller so I won't be buying it.

They mentioned the Canadian taxes would be added. That would be an extra $2039.36 USD for me as a Nova Scotia resident (15% GST). That's it, no way I'd pay that much for an album filler!! You're right on Ian!! Maybe this one instead https://www.hipstamp.com/listing/usa-11x ... Edit: Just got a notice that I should act quickly since this item was being watched by 4 people!!
No damage on this one!! It lists in my Scott Specialized at $50 000 mint, so a real bargain! The 20 cent version lists for $160 000. I wonder how many of these stamps actually exist and if they're in collections where the owner can see them or in bank vaults. If I had them would I actually put them in my Liberty album?
