David, i sent you the piece relating to Sumatra rates...but there is much more to the article. Being you are in the stamp business i could send you the email addresses for the magazine and there is a chance they would send you the first quarter magazine.

You can download this and all the back issues from their web site. They will be charging $30.00 a year after this issue. I plan on subscribing.

Hey Phil,
I must correct my last post. Kelleher's magazine is no longer free for download, you will need to subscribe. I just went to download this issue and had to subscrib for $30.00. I now have access to all the past issues although I do have a file of them that I downloaded as they were published.

i getting requests for more info on the article on Sumatra mail 19445-49...i am trying to scan..am down to 50 resolutions if this does not work thats it.

I was pleasantly surprised to get Kellehers Stamp Collectors quarterly in the mail a day or to ago. Most of the articles were related to U.S. stamps...but there was an article on Indonesian revolution letter rates for Sumatra 1945-49. Unlike Java which allowed only postcards (of which i have a couple) Sumatra always allowed letters to be posted and they are rare. There some great pictures of covers which would probably cost the equivalent of a tooth implant.
