London-Toronto flights are daily, and apparently stagger well with daily Toronto-Glasglow flights. I do not find it too surprising.
"TWO DAYS!!!"
Yes, and they were on my mat when I got out of bed in the morning too. Well done Dave, Canada Post, and Royal Mail.
That beats most of my domestic US mail!
With my eBay orders, I see all kinds of delays. I had an order for many covers from a guy in California (I'm in Pennsylvania- opposite coasts). I broke the order into two envelopes to avoid sending a "package". He got one and we deemed the other one lost... it showed up after a month. He told me it was postmarked exactly the same as the one that arrived in a few days!
Recently, I have a lady customer on the West Coast of Canada. She bought a cover with a pictorial cancel. She sent me a note that she collected "chocolate" topicals. A few weeks later she buys another cover, this one with a slogan cancel mentioning ice cream. She mentions that she received the ice cream cover, but never got the chocolate one! We agreed to wait a few weeks, me assuring her I will refund if needed. She messages that the cover just showed up! It got to her by way of Indonesia! Took 8 weeks. Talk about the long way home!
Anyone able to figure this out?
Tuesday around noon I took an envelope to my postal outlet in London Ontario. They put a nice CDS on the stamps and threw it in their outgoing bin.
“Gudgie” in rural Scotland sent me a note Thursday morning thanking me for the stamps.
Even if there was a direct flight to Edinburgh/Glasgow from London Ontario I don’t see how this was physically possible in TWO DAYS!!!
