On that date, I will put the 33c stamps away and start using the 34 cent ones!

re: Next USPS rate increase

Right now I'm working through a huge hoard of discount postage. I am currently using a block of 15s, and a pair of old 3 cent commemoratives on each cover to make up the 66 cents. I guess I could just add a 2 cent stamp.

Before the holidays my wife had intentions of going to the post office and buying new Christmas stamps. I stopped her dead and offered sheets of 15 and 20 cent Christmas stamps. She balked at a block of 15s and adding non related 6 cents, so I agreed to let her put on a block of 20s, which is 80 cents. Still I only paid 48 cents apiece to mail them!

Back when we first moved to Pennsylvania, I saw that Geigertown (my actual name is Tom Geiger) wasn't too far. So we packed up all our Christmas cards and went there. The clerk was accommodating and let me carefully cancel them all so the postmark was readable. Then I waited... the cards were delivered and not one comment from anyone. Would you believe that not one person on our Christmas card list even noticed!?

This year we got one comment on the blocks of Christmas stamps. My wife's cousin messaged to say she got a kick out of ancient stamps and asked where we dragged them out from!

re: Next USPS rate increase

Are the rates published officially somewhere?
For example, cost for up to 2 oz or 3 oz?
