I saw this in a stamp description ( Postage Quality:FU ) and am curious what it means - obviously not what I am considering at the moment since the condition of the stamp looked pretty good to me. There was a term used many years ago, SNAFU, where the F could have one of several meanings. I know I'm being a bit of a clown at the moment but I really am curious of the meaning!

re: What does this mean?

I was actually being a bit of a "smart a**". My wife was a librarian and I was a teacher, two of the worst professions for "speaking in acronyms". I can remember many staff meetings where so many acronyms were used that I had no idea what was being discussed. Every group has it's own language and many times I have to do a Google search to discover what is being discussed on SOR. It's not really a major problem but I wonder sometimes if the speaker or writer even realizes they are doing it! Anyway, LOL and TTFN!!
Edit: Just a further question. Are we swearing when we use the "f word" as part of an acronym? When we say something is AFU should we be edited or is it OK? Just curious how you feel about this, I know this is not philatelic but it is so much a part of our lives now. Comments, IYASI! Can you figure the last one out? Also remember that many emogies do not show up on some computers. I can't even cut and paste it without getting an error message!
