I came across Nepal #015 this morning and it brought back memories how we acquired a full sheet of them back in the early 1980,s.
I am sure some of you remember the ads in Linns from a Danish Dealer selling huge boxlots, and they advertised a full sheet of 50 stamps cataloging $50 for each stamps.
We bought a 36 kilo box full of stamps and it took us months sorting thru as we were both working 12 hour shiftwork, And the sheet was the Bhutan #O15, But a week after we got the box, The Nepalese government flooded the market with these and cv dropped from $50 to 50c and today its $0.20

This was before email and the internet and all correspondence going snail mail.
The box was mailed as air freight, but instead of going to British Columbia Canada, it had gone to Columbia S America first, and total traveling time from Denmark to Canada by air was 4 months.

Wow that is one well traveled box, Lee!

The internet has truly changed our expectations for shipping time. No more two week delays for the check to arrive and clear. I received a packet of kiloware from Japan (a Christmas present from my hubby) that arrived within 4 business days! 5 if you count Sunday. Incredible! I'm a terrible procrastinator and anything waiting for one of my handcancels and a trip to the post office usually suffers an embarrassingly lengthy delay time. I stand in awe of all who are so punctual. I feel like doing one of those "I'm not worthly" bows like the guys in Wayne's World LOL!
