This message is mainly for dealers, but collectors can insure also.
I have had my insurance with Collectibles Insurance Services (CIA),Dan Walker for many years, and recently when my insurance was to be renewed,July 1, they tacked on a $50.00 service charge, so I decided to check out Hugh Wood Insurance (APS).
What a revelation! My costs were almost cut in half, and my shipping deductible went from $200.00 to $25.00. I have always touted CIA as being the insurance of my choice, but as of July first, I have changed to Hugh Wood, who represents Lloyds of London.
Just remember, it is your money, so if you are not getting the value for it, change your company. You do not have to wait until your policy is due, you can cancel and change at any time.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.
