I need a catalogue for Australia that is specialized enough to list complete booklets, as well as the coils which are identified by their unusual perfs.

Question: (before I buy the SG), does this catalogue cover these issues?

If not, which one does?

Thanks for any help.

re: Question about SG Australia catalogue

I can't answer that question with certainty, but Gibbons states that the Australia Catalog is "Comprehensive", which is their middle level catalog, of which specialized is the highest.

Here is their definition of "Comprehensive":

Comprehensive catalogues offer more detail such as watermark variations, errors, plate flaws, paper and print methods and perforation varieties. Our range of Commonwealth One Country and Foreign catalogues are all comprehensive.

They also say that the catalog listings up to 1970 are taken from their Commonwealth catalog. That does list booklet panes and coils, but I did not see any listings for complete booklets in a quick look through the Australia section.

Also, in case you were unaware, their Australia 2013 catalog (7th edition) comes out in May.

re: Question about SG Australia catalogue

Yes, I saw the new one advertised for May, but I can't wait that long. Have an extensive collection sitting on my desk that the owner wants a price on!

Anybody in Oz have one that they can open up and have a look?

Roy,
The Scott Volume One catalog carries a lot of the booklet panes, but not being a booklet collector I don't know if this is all of the ones they have issued or not.

G'Day, Roy.....

My 2006 SG Commonwwealth & British Empire catalog does list Booklets in great detail. However, it only covers the 1840-1952 time period. If that would be of help, just give me a shout.

Cheers,
Terry.

re: Question about SG Australia catalogue

Yes.
It does cover Stamp Booklets. I use the 7th edition 2012. I looked at my old 2006 edition and it also covers them.
