I suggest the stamp depicted here as the least beautiful that has borne Canada's name, and I confess that my country has issued a few stamps of questionable beauty.
This stamp, Scott 654, issued 1974, was voted the least popular stamp of that year by a number of Canadian philatelic clubs and associations; thereafter, it was a perennial least favourite until I quit tracking it. Not surprisingly, I do have this stamp and have now come to favour it because of its green-faced notoriety, deserved or otherwise.

The 1960s and 1970s were a time with a different sense of esthetics, I suppose. I can easily give you 10 or more examples of extremely ugly stamps from the Netherlands from that same period.

Sadly I have the ugliest stamps from both my adopted country, Israel and my 'home' country Great Britain. I'll try to scan them later although the miniature sheet of Cheating Charlie and Lumpilla Parky-Balls might not want to be photographed !!!

When I saw the title of the thread, I immediately thought of the yellow 3rd Bureau Washington (338), but Ross, you win!

Thank you- absolutely zero appeal on any level!!!! Probably took the P.O. 2-3 years and countless millions to come up with the design.

There are so many ugly stamps from Denmark, it´s impossible to choose. These are probably not even the worst, just the first I came across

Well, the Danish dogshit stamp is pretty impressive as well - in terms of ugliness that is.

PeterG - what is the middle stamp supposed to be? Something for Christmas like a snowman or a tree or what??? Thanks for posting pictures. They make some of the USA stamps look better....hahaha

Stamporama has had a number of discussions over the years concerning the beauty of a variety of international postage stamps and we are certain to have more. I am curious to know your opinion of the least beautiful stamp that your country has attached its name to, and whether or not it's in your collection.
