I was beginning to worry about this SOR payment. Rightfully so, as I received the letter today like this (mailed January 23):

That is about the most complete destruction job on a piece of mail matter by the USPS I have seen. No wonder it took them a month to pick up the pieces.

So, John, payment received after all Happy. The best thing, I do not even have to destroy the duplicate check. The USPS already anticipated it and ripped it in pieces!

Arno:

Take a lot of comfort in the fact that the USPS went the distance
and made the delivery. It would have been all too easy to simply quit
on this one and sweep it under the rug.

It may not have been a gold medal performance but the finish line was
crossed. Winners never quit. Save that precious delivery for personal
motivation when your going gets tough.

Ok - if they have such HIGH volume going through the machines, how come they are complaining they are losing money?

Maybe it got stuck in the machines because the machines need greased due to LACK of volume???

David, our auctioneer is a collector of the "body bags" also and I'm sure he would be interested in this one.
