I have not been this amazed since I won a Ferrari.

Every page of every album (complete with all the stamps on that page) is available for viewing.

Check it out: http://worldstampalbum.comWhat is also amazing is that as near as I can calculate he is only middle age.

I can't tell you what a relief it is that he is missing many of the same stamps from his Panama collection as I am (though his is a bit more complete to be honest).

Kind of makes my pathetic little collection look, well, pathetic. Glad my goal is not completion, but rather enjoyment or I would be downright discouraged! Kudos to Dr. Cheng Chang and I hope he achieves his goal and enjoys it every step of the way.

Ah Bobby my friend-'tis the journey not the destination that is the prize. All this of course you know, but somehow I thought it of value to repeat the obvious.Likely I'm wasting everyone's time with this, but when certain messages re-ring a bell I've found it best just to repeat them -apologies in advance.
Best,

re: Amazing Stamp Collection

I just checked a few countries from his collection and noticed he misses the key stamps and also prefers quantity over quality. Many damaged and poorly centered stamps. Then again, he has an awful lot and the effort to scan all the pages is highly appreciated. I just think he needs to continue many years to make it museum worthy

re: Amazing Stamp Collection

JanSimon - I agree. I suppose when you are trying to put together an entire world collection, with the higher value stamps, you take spacefillers. I was looking at his German States and saw many damaged stamps. That is one of my areas of interest and I admit I'm rather meticulous on what I have there, however, if an off-chance spacefiller is found in one of my boxlots, I keep it of course. Likewise with my other worldwide classics. Many are just spacefillers. I don't have store-bought pages that need to be filled so if I have several dozen of a stamp, that works for me. I tend to go for the postmarks on a lot of my States and early Germany, particularly Prussia.

I wonder about his Bergedorf. It is so difficult to know what is genuine for Bergedorf or what are reprints, etc. I honestly don't know whether mine are reprints or first copies. Likewise with my Helgoland.

It is quite nice to see someone who works so hard to collect every stamp. He's done a good job at accumulating his collection.

re: Amazing Stamp Collection

I agree with Jan-Michael and Kelly. The coverage is impressive, but the quality is poor. I have a similar collection of US stamps, and as poor as the quality is for several of my key stamps, I hope it isn't THAT poor and there aren't as many obvious fakes.
