Hello Poodle_mum
If you're still out there, and still interested in revenues, smauggie is correct about Mr Van Dam.
I'd also suggest checking out these pdfs by Christopher Ryan regarding tobacco stamps and excise stamps on cheques.
I've printed both out and have them handy in a binder.

James - I'm * always* around here. 😀 I'm one of the ones you might call "behind the scenes" person.
Thanks a ton for the links. I'll definitely check them out. I did get a Van Dam catalogue, I just didn't realise there was a new edition from Unitrade. I'll have to get that for update on cv.

Hi everyone - in my genius brain I decided it would be great to begin a Canadian Revenue collection. Seriously, I know absolutely nothing about Canadian Revenues although I now possess a number of them.
So my friends, I need help. How do I find out more about Revenues? Catalogues, information of what they are, etc.
For obvious reasons I cannot currently scan any that I have so I just need someone to point me into the right direction to learn more about them.
Off hand, I know I have Custom Duty, Electric and Gas, Law Stamps for most of the provinces. So please point me in the direction to find out what the heck these are and what they were used for.
I thought I was nuts to get into Belgian Railways (stamps on bills for shipping livestock? Oy!).
I'm enjoying the beauty of these new adventures and learning a lot so I look forward to you guys giving me a hand here.
