I was intrigued by an old post I just read on Keijo’s blog. Someone had printed out all 6700 Steiner classic-era pages onto paper matching the size and weight (and hole punched) of Davo pages and put them all into Davo album binders. Surprise

Now, I actually have several Davo albums and think they are quite nice and high quality and moderately priced. But, just wondering if anyone else out there has tried to combine Steiner pages and Davo albums? Not sure the exact number of pages that fit in the binders, but I would assume this would still take 67 (at 100 pages per binder) binders to do this? Anyone even know if Davo makes blank binders without a country name on them, and if so, how would you even label the binders?

Update: Davo does make blank albums containing either 60 blank or quadrille pages (not sure exactly what the binder looks like though)

Chris

I can't answer your question, but I suspect the Steiner page would look nice in a Davo album.

I think one of the unintended problems with Steiner pages is they are often put in "Schoolboy" binder. But putting them in a nicer binder enhances the Steiner page. I've tried them in Vario G binders, and they look nice indeed. I might also try the Vario F size, especially for one country collections. Cool

re: Steiner pages in Davo albums

Jim,

Yes, I agree with you 100% I think I have now finally gotten over my bias of the 8 1/2 x 11 in format, especially since I have now found the paper I am happy with and now that I have been able to modify the pages to delete the most expensive stamps and do a bit of rearranging so the pages are not quite so sparse.

I have one Vario F binder and it is really very nice, but I would say, impractical for a WW collection of Steiner pages. I have now beginning putting my Steiner pages in Vario G binders, as you have, and am quite happy with them so far.

I would be interested in hearing how you plan on labeling your Vario G binders as I have figured out a nice way of labeling them yet Sad
