Acording to Unitrade 2016 it could be the 89 iii (blue green) it could be also alterated
by light exposure for a long time... hope it help a little...
First off, this is an exceptionally common issue, with a total of 1,470,000,000 printed from 69 different plates. There are a great many shades, ranging through the greens from grey-green to blue-green resulting from so many printings.
Boggs, in his "Postage Stamps and Postal History of Canada" simply says under "Shades":
"As would be expected the large quantity of stamps needed for this issue resulted in quite a wide variety of shades, particularly in the 1c to 10c values, as there were a number of printings of each."
Thank you for the replies. Blue and greens fade out on my scanner.
Check to see if your scanning software is applying an "auto-adjust" to the colours.
That's bad news for stamp scanning.
