Jim, the Viso-Grip are made in England. There are two other similar brands. Hagner pages are made in Sweden, and Prinz are made in Germany.
As for the three, I find that the glue line on the Prinz sheets is a little bit (not much) thicker, and they tend to stand up to repeat use better than the other two brands. The sleeves on the Hagner pages tend to come loose rather quickly as do those with the Viso-Grip.
I took a quick look for these pages, and only found the Hagner and Prinz sheets offered for sale on eBay. Subway doesn't carry ether three brands.
Hi James;
I'm using Vario, made in Germany. I Bought them locally from a stamp dealer. He was a smoker, and the
loose ones were not clear but tinted tea color from all of the smoking. The ones from sealed packages
however were just fine. They are easy to find, last a long time, and come in several sizes. I have 8 pocket,
7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 pocket versions.
I find them easy to use and very durable. They do tend to get static charged sometimes, so use in a area
that is rather free of excessive dust.
They should be easy to find almost anywhere.
Just keepin' warm....

Michael is absolutely right about the rows coming loose on Hagnars - I have a bunch of double sided size 6 that recently have given up the ghost. Those are now approval pages. I returned a batch of size 5's several years ago because the rows were barely glued on and I also had to return a batch that was mis-cut. I notice that the ones manufactured in Sweden seemed to have a better quality than the ones made in England. I haven't bought any recently so I don't know if they have corrected their quality problems.
Ken - I have some Vario pages that were never exposed to smoke but turned slightly amber in color. I actually have a package of 5 size 4 that has never been opened but it extremely yellowed. I think they had a manufacturing problem for a while, but they seem to have corrected it because other, later purchases have remained clear and untinted.

I've used them since I started selling here and they stand up really well to scanning. The company is easy to deal with and they ship quickly. Never had any problems with them. My sister Lee told me about them, as she dealt with the company for all her supplies.
Just did a quick look-see. VIS-O-GRIP was a trademark of Lighthouse (Leuchturm). Looks like their trademark expired in Canada in 2008. VARIO might be the successor brand?
Hello Everyone,
I apologize for not responding earlier. A couple of days after I requested help I ran afoul of the flu bug. I have finally returned to the realm of the living.
Thanks for all of the information. I am in the process of analyzing all of the information and making a decision.
Thanks again everyone.

"Hagner pages are made in Sweden,"
Hello Everyone,
I am looking for VIS-O-GRIP stock sheets. They are black cardboard stock sheets with clear plastic rows glued on one side. They were made in Sweden. I did a quick search on the Internet and could not find anyone currently selling them.
Are they still produced? Does anyone know of a current source for the sheets?
I use them to scan auction lots and approval book pages. My supply of 6 sheets is fast wearing out. I need a new supply. The VIS-O-GRIP stock sheet is the only stock sheet that I have found that the clear plastic does not “cloud up†or turn a brown/tan shade after a few scans. VIS-O-GRIP is the only stock sheet that I have found that stays clear after hundreds of scans.
Help!!!!
