I've gotten good service from iHobb, too, recently.
I'd recommend NOT buying the cards with the sprayed on black background. I've had that stuff rub off on the back of some stamps. Get the solid white, blue, yellow, green - anything but the sprayed on black! Trust me on this one.
The safest, and best quality we have found, and use in the shop are the ones manufactured by Lighthouse in Germany. There are Canadian and American distributors for Lighthouse products.

I get mine from Subway because of the nice Red storage box. Have you checked out the Bay?
Hi Jeremy;
I would recommend #3 Glassine envelopes. They are 3.5¢ each, are much easier to find etc.
When I list items in the auctions, each lot gets it's own envelope. I don't mark on them, but
on a slip of cheap copier paper inserted in envelope.
Most of my regular buyers usually purchase a dozen or so items, before asking for an invoice.
So I place all 12 lots in one glassine and a piece of non-corrugated cardboard. The other 11
envelopes go into envelope recycling for my next listing cycle.
The problem I see with 102 dealer cards is this; once you write on them they aren't very use-
ful again. The glassine I ship those 12 lots in are not written on and the collector can re-use
them for sorting their stamps, or listing their lots.
Just keepin' warm....

White file folder labels work well for a nice clean spot for writing at the top of either glassines or dealer cards.
I use them all the time - write using pencil so I can eventually erase and reuse.
I reused my 104 cards over and over - pencil lightly and erase. Voila!
All that practice penciling lightly ought to lead to a marketable skill.
Q/ Any of y'all pencil lightly as a kid, and go on to ophthalmic surgery?
Cheers,

I would suggest signing up for Subway Emails. About once or twice a year they have a clearance sale where they sell "imperfect" inventory. I have bought most of my 102 cards there. For the most part I cannot see any issues with them. They sell them in packs of 1000 and they are about 1/2 the price of the regular cards.
It may not be cost-effective for dealers, but it works great for collecors.
A nice clean area to write on and no messing with inserts or having trouble reading thru a glassine (eyes ain't what they used to be!)
Hi Everyone;
@ parkinlot;
That's a great idea, and I didn't know that about subway. Is it possible that other major mail order
dealers also do something similar? Anybody have any info on this with regards to other companies?
Does Subway ever have a similar clearance sale on #3 or #4 Glassine envelopes?
Just wonderin'....

I have never seen Glassines being part of the clearance sale. I think Subway makes their own 102 cards, so they would have access to the flawed cards.
Hi Everyone;
Thanks parkinlot. I think, on your advice I'll register for e-mails from all the major stamp supply
retailers (there are lots) and sooner or later I'll get a good deal on something I can use.

I just ordered some blue and green 104 cards from Subway - they are on sale right now 40% off. Not sure on the prices for 102s. That is the cheapest I've seen for a while. The best price is to buy a box with the cards.
they also stock yellow, gray, white, black (sprayed on which I don't recommend).
Subway manufactures these in house, so it might be tough to beat their prices.
For those of you who use 102 dealer cards, can you recommend a reliable and competitively priced supplier? I would prefer quantities of 1000.
Thanks,
Jeremy
