Wish I had known that you collected postmarks. I just got back from a vacation in Newfoundland and they have a tiny Canada Post office in every little fishing village - with some of the quaintest names ever. I could have sent you a post card from some of the places we visited: Cow Head, Come By Chance, Heart's Content, and oh course ... Dildo!!!

I have many pictorial cancels from across Canada...,with many celebrating NFLD Just received the latest from Deer Lake. I sometimes try to find some cancels with a unique story behind the community. Grise Fiord was added because of its location and a history channel video about the people living there,that I had watched earlier in June

Yes I did .....If you hear of any recent ones from your province please let me know...Canada Post reports very few of the newer ones unless they are tied to new stamp releases.

I collect Canada postmarks so I sent off a letter to GRISE FIORD NU .This community is CP farthest post office in Canada 19000 km north of Resolute.. I sent my request for their cancel mid June Today July 11th I received my envelopes back with a postmark 2016-07-01 CANADA DAY! A 10 day travel via airplane etc from the postmaster who cancelled my request on a holiday The Post office is in the local Cooperative store which
