My Dear,
Just to keep you in practice answering
letters I am going to write another.
Your last contained the information that you al-
ready have your glasses
and I hope you are feeling
perfectly alright again.
are you? But don’t forget
what i said about the Ver
acolates with pancreatin and
pepsin. You know your
bowels have to be watched and
they are the things to use, not so
much for a hurry-up cathartic
as to make you regular and
create a good habit. Your glasses
surely cost a lot, but if you
can do better work as a result
you will be glad you got them.
Have you written to Charles
since Christmas? We haven’t heard
from him since then.
Have you joined the “Lion Tamers�
Oohwah! Oohwah!
Well, it- would be nice to see you
but if you can’t- come you must
write and tell us everything.
If you continue to wear your
silk socks with high shoes
you will have them so worn they won’t look so well with
____ shoes. Why not buy some of those cheap socks at ____ -
____ to wear with high
shoes. Also, do bath often, for
your clothes smell very rank
and you must be noticeable
by those next to you. I don’t-
see why you won’t get interested
in using ___ under your
arms. You especially need
it for the odor is strong when
one is close to you. you will
repel your friends- no one
cares to smell a bad breath
or other bad odors if they can
keep out of range. You owe
it to yourself to look out for
all these things. If you don’t
you will cause unfavorable
criticism and lose friendships.
Only lazy people or people who
don’t know need to be that way.
and everyone knows about __
__ and____ (also dentists)
so if you continue to neglect
such things you will be con-
sidered dirty. There is no ex-
cuse these days. and you
must begin to value every means
toward friends and success.
Papa is going to Houston to-day
and will leave your laundry at
the ____ ___. He will try to call you. Lots of love, Mother.

Seems that Paul is a college freshman and he sends his wash home to mother. She saw his hygiene issues in that his wash stunk. I wonder if that's the same way she found his being irregular!

I figured it's about time to start going through my small pile of stamps on cover which include letters so i thought i'd post them here to share. Sometimes the handwritting is difficult to read, so feel free to correct anything i missed or fill in any of the blank spaces if you can!

A Service Dog gives a person with a disability independence. Never approach, distract or pet a working dog, especially when (s)he is in harness. Never be afraid to ask questions to the handler (parent).
