Hi,
These stamps were supposed to have been produced for the "Republic of Mirdita", in Albania.
Wikipedia says:
"The Republic of Mirdita (Republika e Mirditës) was a short-lived unrecognized republic declared in northern Albania by Marka Gjoni and his followers. It existed between July 17 and November 20, 1921."
Michel describes them as "Mache" (sham) which I read as "bogus".
All the same I've always quite liked them.

I have a friend who is going to help me set things up better so that I can see the album. I bought a stockbook on ebay many moons ago that just said "fillers" - so I'm going to start with those and then move on to see what I have in envelopes. I know this will be a big job just trying to see the album but it'll be a lot of fun that will last me a long time. I was able to find and mount 15 stamps last night. I know that doesn't sound like much but it took about 5 hours but boy was I excited when I found something that matched! 😎

These stamps are in the Albania section of my album. What exactly are they? Please forgive me if they are easily identified in the catalogue, it's difficult for me to see my catalogues.
