Hi,

I have come across 3 different perf hole sizes on these water activated coil stamps.
Tried searching for info on these perf hole size differences but have not had any luck so far. Is anyone familiar with this and can refer me to where I can find out more about this?

Thanks,

Dave N

Looks like this came out in 2012/2013/2015. Colnect site shows them as number 4675/4802/4672a. But they show 4802 with serpentine die cut 9 3/4 and the other two as serpentine die cut 10.

The 2013 bobcat coil (Scott 4802) is water-activated perf 9.75. The 2012 version (Scott 4672) and the 2015 version (Scott 4672a) are both self-adhesive and die cut 10.

Dave, I just answered this very same question on another forum.
The 1 cent Bobcat Scott 4902 is known with two different hole sizes. One is a small hole, the other a medium size hole.
A Plate Strip of 5 (PS5) is catalogued at $ 3.00 in the 2014 PNC3 Values List.

Well, silly me. I misunderstood the question.
There is no mention of different holes sizes in the 2016 Scott Specialized (even though hole size varieties are shown for the Liberty issue). Is it in the 2017 Specialized?

re: 2013 1c Bobcat coil (Scott 4802) Perf Hole Size

There are numerous US issues with small and large hole sized coils. The Liberty series is the most obvious one as all but the 25 cent have both sizes. C52 Jetliner, some of the transportation series, 842 and possibly 844 from the Prexie series, and there is even one or more from the Washington/Franklin coils.

re: 2013 1c Bobcat coil (Scott 4802) Perf Hole Size

Thanks Peter,

When I came across a couple of these stamps and was adding them to my dupes, I noticed the perf hole size difference. Was wondering if this was a known difference and also if it was a Scott listed variety. On additional examination of the 1c Bobcats I have, it looks like I have only two different hole sizes and not the three different sizes I thought I had at first.

Thanks everyone for all the inputs...
