Can anyone clarify these for me Scott #36 & 38 or 36a & 38a. I look at the CV and wonder where mine would fit in. Or am I just wanting to hope for the best match! The bottom one is not in great condition. I see it as a reprint.

Easiest way to find out if the #36 is a reprint is to measure it. Reprints of #36 are 22.5mm high; the original stamp is 23.5mm high. Color-wise, yours looks like a reprint, but colors on monitors are not definitive.

You are correct that the #38 is a reprint.
