According to the APS e-mail I received, the USPS is raising their postal rates effective 22 January, 2017.

The domestic letter rate will rise from 47-cents to 49-cents.

Can anyone tell me if the international rate will change?

David in Ottawa, Canada.

re: USPS Rate Increase

I have submitted an article for the next issue of The Rambler that also will provide more details on the January 22 rate increase.

I will let you know that one international rate will increase: Global Express Guaranteed rates will increase about 5%.

re: USPS Rate Increase

You are lucky a 2 cent increase our last national increase was 30 cents .Our CEO Mr Fahour's pay in 2014 was $4.8 million any wonder our postal charges are skyrocketing!!!.
And to top it off he donates about half to a charity run by his relatives.
