I have just had a Buyer in France state that these stamps are forgeries. The Scott Catalog states that forgeries exist, but that they are perf. 11 1/2. Am I dealing with forgeries here? Thank you very much. Image Not Found

They are rather crude forgeries. The originals are much more finely executed.
Although the scan below is not that detailed you can see the difference.
