Hi,
The label in the middle of the top row shows Admiral Kolchak, head of the white government and army in Siberia in the Russian Civil War.
There are a number of labels like this that show different white Russian commanders.
The stamp at right in the top row is from the first set of Mongolian postage stamps.
I believe the second label in the bottom row is a pro-German propaganda label from the time of the plebiscite in Upper Silesia.
The last two stamps in the bottom row are local stamps from Przedbórz in Poland.
The first label in the top row is a Czech label from the US, with something like "For the Country" and "National Associations in America" in Czech.
The first label in the bottom row is a charity label for the Polish Legions in the Austro-Hungarian army in the First World War.
many thanks to all of you who identified these cinderellas. Now all I need to find out is the third stamp in the top row. It looks like either of Austrian or Italian descent because of the currency (centisimi). Maybe someone knows more? Thanks again, capetown
Nigel identified that for you as a stamp from Mongolia. It is listed in Scott.
thank you Michael....Mongolia #4, cat. $16.00. I would never have guessed. Boy, was I wrong with "of Italian descent". I thought the currency was "centisimi", not just cents. Much obliged to you...capetown
Can someone identify these cinderellas. I think the bottom row are all Polish, but the top row are the ones I am not familiar with...thanks, capetown
