I don't remember seeing these posted before. Gorgeous color on all four values. Once again, Rob comes through with some amazing classic Australia stamps. Thanks for sharing Rob!
Hi Ernie
The earlier posting was on April 12, I collected a few more since then to nearly complete the set in ACSC order, which was no easy feat. The only one left is the £1 blue very thin paper.
They really are colourful and are one of my favourite sets, apart from the coronation set.
In a few weeks I will have in my collection a block of 20, 1937 2d NSW sesquicentennial stamps, all are well centred and mint unhinged. and by far a rare block.
There are two rare varieties and one scarce variety in the block.
The "man with a tail" is catalogued in the ACSC at $1,000
The "man with Pantaloon" (baggy trousers gathered at the ankles), is catalogued in the ACSC at $1,250
The "colour flaw adjoining the side of the tree above the officer at right (aka "the koala") is catalogued in the ACSC at $250.
As the three are together in the one block, it makes the block quite rare and is worth much more than the catalogue value of all three combined.
I will post it onto this site when it arrives. I am placing all my stamps onto Facebook, my entire collection of Australian stamps are already posted (the birthdate is incorrect, didn't bother changing it).
Rob
Rob has also been kind enough to posted his collection in a Stamp Smarter database for long term archiving. In this format the pictures are in a single place, searchable on several criteria (catalog numbers, description, etc.), and also supports high resolution images. Simply click on the thumbnail and it will open the higher resolution image in a new window.

Edit: I am working on adding various additional catalog (Scott, SG, ACSC) numbers so folks can search using the catalog they are used to working with.
Robert, good information on the Arms stamps. And good luck finding the £1 Blue variety you are missing.
I have the four "basic" models, purchased on eBay for $115 usd -- if memory serves. The numbers penciled in are from the Scott catalogue. Wonderful looking stamps.

Hi Don
I forgot to mention Stamp Smarter, my apologies. I fully recommend Stamp Smarter to everyone, it really enhances a collection.
I'm going to continue using it as I find the site complimenting my stamps by professionally archiving the stamps, and not altering them when enlarged.
There is much information to read and I believe information is welcome to be added by contributors.
Personal information is quite safe, that was a priority.
Rob
Thanks Eric. Those Coat-of-Arms are nicely centred and priced about right. From the words of the old knight to Indiana Jones when he picked out the real holy grail and drank from it - "You chose well".
I might be waiting a long time for the £1 blue variety, but that's what's so good about stamp collecting, the excitement of the wait.
Rob
Even though I have posted the 1949-50 KG VI Coat-of-Arms a few times in the recent past; I have come to only one stamp shy of the complete set of these stamps in ACSC order. There are 16 to a set.
This includes the scarce and very rare very thin papers, different shades and unlisted shades and the well-known £2 Roller Flaw.
Although some of the shades may be difficult to separate, they are indeed different. The missing stamp is the £1 blue very thin paper; it is by far the most elusive stamp in the series, and to acquire one at the moment an impossible task.
Colours are unaltered. Perforations - 14½ x 14 (14.38 x 13.76): Watermark - Multiple Crown & C of A watermark.
