Founding father Benjamin Franklin strongly believed that the turkey is a much better representation of the United States than the bald eagle. According to Franklin, "The turkey is a much more respectable Bird and withal a true original Native of North America." He even wanted to name the turkey our national bird! Obviously, not everyone agreed with him. So here's a bit of Franklin for Thanksgiving:

This Franklin NJ cover came in the mail yesterday, just in time! I bought it on the 'bay because it was nice clean personal mail and had three Franklin stamps on it.

Franklin Furnace (1848-1913)

Franklin Park

Franklinville

There is also Franklin Lakes, which I have but apparently no scan!
So that covers (pun intended) all the NJ Franklin post offices.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
