I received a lot of very early G.B Victorians which hopefully will complete my first couple pages. There is one stamp that has me stumped. It is an imperf Red which clearly seems (to me) to have a No. 24 watermark (Heraldic emblems) but cannot find a Red imperf with anything but a No. 24. It has just clear margins on all sides so it is very doubtful that perfs were trimmed. The stamp was Id'd on the page as #8.
I know it is often very difficult rectifying Scott and Gibbons numbers and unfortunately I don't have my Stanley Gibbons catalogs with me. I'd be grateful for anyone to clear this up for me.

This stamp appears to have the usual small crown watermark (Sc. Wmk. 18) at its centre.

Nigelc, Thanks, you are correct. I had run out of lighter fluid so could not give the stamp a dip to check watermark. The bluish areas at all four corners appeared to make it a heraldic arms watermark but it wasn't. Got some lighter fluid last night and it showed to be a small crown #18. Your eyes are better than mine. Turns out the lot brought me one stamp away from completion of the first two pages and also added a color variation of #5 so the lot was a nice addition to my GB collection. As of now I only need 3 of the smaller format stamps which is better than I'd ever hoped for. Most all of the sub number (plate numbers) are also represented. Of course there are several of the larger format stamps I still need and will be hard pressed to get any of them.
